Serving Christ
Almost nothing can be as fulling as serving Christ in your community. Their are so many ways to serve.
Most notable is in your own home church. Get involved in helping other young Christians along their
own personal walk with God. Another way of serving is in your own Missouri East Chrysalis community.
Ways to serve can be as a sponsor for Chrysalis or Emmaus, serving on a team, agape mail, table agape,
food agape, participation in weekend events, and others. Please consider serving in any way you can.

Serving on a team
After attending a 3-day weekend, serving on a team is the next step in special service to your brothers
and sisters in Christ. To indicate your desire to serve on a team, please fill out the servant form. You
must be logged into this web site in order to access the form. By registering and logging in, you provide

Sponsoring a Caterpillar
Sponsorship is key to great Chrysalis and Walk to Emmaus weekends.
Who may be a sponsor?
Anyone who has been on an Emmaus Walk, Cursillo, Camino, Journey, Flight, or other three day experience with
similar formats may sponsor caterpillars to a Chrysalis Journey or Flight.
Who should be sponsored?
Chrysalis weekends are intended to build young Christian leaders in your church and community. Potential
caterpillars are those who are interested in a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. Through a deep personal
relationship with Jesus, young Christian leaders are motivated by love and spirit to be Christ’s disciples
within their church and community.
What should you do as a sponsor?
Before the weekend, pray for Jesus to reveal those in your life He would like to attend Chrysalis weekend.
Prayer is key! Invite potential caterpillars to Chrysalis gatherings. Feeling confident about His response,
explain the weekend to candidate caterpillar(s). Pray with them about it and ask them to pray about it. If
reassured that Chrysalis is the appropriate step in their Christian journey, guide them through filling out
and submitting a Flight or Journey application. Letter agape.
During the weekend, you are responsible to bring you caterpillar(s) to the Chrysalis weekend site on the first
morning. While there, attend Sponsors Hour to pray for your caterpillar(s) weekend experience with Christ.
Provide nourishment and other agape. Attend Apostolic Hour and Closing events. Take care of caterpillar
commitments, if necessary, during the weekend while they are gone.
After the weekend, stay in contact and support your butterfly(s). Encourage them to attend Emmaus and Chrysalis
gatherings such as Ignite. Urge them to become involved in Reunion Groups or help them start a reunion group.
And finally, encourage to fill out a servant form to be a part of future Chrysalis teams.
